Peter M. Dolinger is a Philadelphia attorney experienced in commercial litigation, business law, real estate and leasing transactions and litigation, environmental and toxics law, government regulation, contracts, insurance, and other legal matters. Mr. Dolinger represents clients before State and Federal Courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Mr. Dolinger serves in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas as Judge Pro Tem in the Major Jury Program and as Certified Arbitrator in the Compulsory Arbitration Program. He is a member of the Investigative Division of the Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention of the Philadelphia Bar Association. Additionally he is a member of the Investigative Division of the Judicial Evaluation Commission of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, which evaluates candidates for appellate courts including the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Mr. Dolinger has received the First Judicial District Pro Bono Service Award.

Mr. Dolinger has worked with the law firms of Morgan Lewis in Philadelphia and Sullivan & Worcester in Boston, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; the U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration; the California Department of Agriculture (Unit now Department of Pesticide Regulation), the U.S. Council on Environmental Quality and the MIT Center for Technology, Policy, and Industrial Development (now SSRC).

Mr. Dolinger practices in a range of legal areas. Completed matters include:

  • Transfer of franchise dispute to S.D.Texas notwithstanding E.D.Pa. forum selection provision;

  • Refinance of HUD-regulated loan for housing project constructed on former coal gasification site;

  • Declaratory action settled at $100,000 auto policy limit;

  • Generator liability resolved at unlicensed New Jersey landfill

  • Specific performance for seller of $1 million commercial building in Philadelphia;

  • Zero recovery defense of Lanham Act claims;

  • Zero arbitration award in defense of breach of warranty claims;

  • Settlement of internet defamation and invasion of privacy, and computer fraud and abuse claims;

  • Litigation of partnership dispute on control of landmark commercial property in Philadelphia;

  • Prosecution of internet services trademark and willful and deliberate software copyright infringement;

  • Favorable settlement of $20 million cleanup at New Jersey Superfund Site among major industrial corporations;

  • Zero recovery defense of $5 million fire casualty subrogation suit;

  • Settlements within limits as personal counsel for professionals facing excess liabilities;

  • Prosecution and settlement of defamation claim including inference of dishonest activity published by national trade journal; and

  • Defense of licensed professionals before government agencies and administrative and professional boards.
Mr. Dolinger serves as personal counsel to insureds, and represents insureds in declaratory judgment actions. Mr. Dolinger serves as Philadelphia local counsel.
